Welcome to GBBG Esthetics! I’m Gwen — Owner and Advanced Practice Esthetician (AP) behind GBBG. My passion for esthetics started with something simple: makeup. There was always something powerful about how a swipe of mascara could completely shift the way you felt about yourself. In a world that can feel overwhelmingly negative and loud, that small, intentional act — something just for you — somehow made everything a little lighter. That curiosity turned into a career and completely transformed my understanding of self-care. After graduating in 2021 with my AP Esthetics + Salon Manager License, I began my journey in the industry working for a corporate spa chain. From servicing clients in a trendy express facial spa to experiencing solo-suite life while operating inside a local wellness studio, each step gave me valuable experience — not only as an esthetician, but as a business owner. Along the way, I noticed something: self-care is often dismissed. It’s labeled as indulgent, trendy, unnecessary, or even weak. But self-care isn’t frivolous — it’s foundational. It’s simply caring for yourself. Self-care can be big or small. A material treat or a meaningful experience. Time alone or time shared. It’s anything that fills your cup. GBBG Esthetics is a space where you get to choose how you refill yours. Maybe that’s committing to monthly facials and truly getting to know your skin.
